Nestled amidst the scenic Brown Clee hills, Manor Farm Cottage is enveloped by nature’s beauty. My clients approached me with a desire to revamp their kitchen, aiming to infuse it with brightness, spaciousness, and a seamless connection to the surrounding environment. Despite the rustic charm of their cottage kitchen, its low-beamed ceilings didn’t quite match their vision.
Luckily, a previous addition by the former owners—a functional lean-to—presented an opportunity for a stunning transformation into a double-height galley kitchen and open snug room.
Our first task involved integrating the lean-to with the existing kitchen to achieve the desired open-plan layout. Though the existing configuration posed challenges, we were determined to bring their vision to life. Working closely with Wren Kitchens, who initially proposed layouts that didn’t fully optimize the space, I devised an alternative plan. By incorporating an island that seamlessly connected the primary living area, we turned what was once a narrow galley kitchen into a sociable and welcoming space.
Working with English Interiors on our kitchen renovation was an absolute delight! Catherine's expertise and vision turned our cramped kitchen into a spacious, open-plan area perfect for cooking and entertaining. Throughout the process, Catherine worked closely with us, involving us every step of the way to ensure our vision was realised.
